“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?” Luke 16.11-12

Luke 16 begins with the parable of the Shrewd Manager, who handled his master’s wealth wisely. Jesus always gives lessons that both the original hearers and modern listeners can understand. His point in this parable is simple and best summarized this way: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

If you have been tracking with me over the last week, you know I am at Revive Youth Camp—the largest camp in the history of ReviveTexas.org. It feels like a breakthrough in our ability to plan, program, and purpose a camp of this size. It tells me that what we can do for 100 people, we can scale for 750 or more. Our team has managed the large crowd of Methodists coming to camp very well. Although not perfectly—and we are still working through some logistics to make things better—the overall handling of this camp has been wonderful.

But what is most incredible is God pouring out His Spirit upon His people. Last night in worship, upward of 75 students accepted or recommitted their lives to Jesus. We saw literally a hundred say yes to ministry and a hundred more stand for prayer. God’s Spirit was—and still is—moving in wonderful ways.

What at first was a little entrusted to me and our team has now multiplied into much more. The first few hundred at our initial Revive camps—and especially the early years of conference camping—have now expanded to thousands. We have followed God’s laws, obeyed His commands, and committed to being faithful. Now we are reaping the harvest of His vineyard. It is nothing short of amazing.

God is good. I am so blessed to help lead a team where the Lord is displaying His power, love, and ability to reach and redeem His people.

I thank Him that we who have been entrusted with a little have now been entrusted with much—by His grace and for His glory.

“Lord, I am overflowing with love for You. I am simply amazed at the power of the Cross to save and redeem. Thank You for loving me and for allowing me to know Your Spirit and Your power. Come now, Holy Spirit, fall afresh on me. I love You and trust Your name. For You are good, and Your love endures forever.” Amen.
